Hello there! My name’s Sam and I’m a Singapore-based scuba-obsessed, nature-lovin’ crazy cat lady who writes for a living.
I’ve always been an outdoorsy person and have a penchant for visiting under-the-radar destinations (the more unheard of, the better), but I only fell in love with scuba diving in 2011. I joined a publishing company and was thrown in at the deep end when I found out the underwater department – which had several scuba diving titles under them at that time – needed editorial support. Being a non-diver back then, the company offered me a free Open Water Diver course and after much hesitation, I decided to give it a go. All it took was one weekend and I was hooked. The rest, as they say, is history.
Underwater photography came much later, in 2014, when I finally felt my buoyancy was near perfect. Capturing moments beneath the surface is such a challenge, and still is. Until today, I’m still finding out how to take quality shots, and I think it’s pretty safe to say that it’s a never-ending learning process. I set up this photoblog because I know I always have a story to tell through my travel photos – whether on land or underwater – or a fun fact worth knowing or important information to share. I hope you like what you see and read here.
